Another old Seghesio Petite Sirah that had been tucked back in the cellar and never expected to soften. Yet it has, beautifully. Still a big, virile wine, but one that is now full and richly flavored. Black fruits and strong earthy, smokey notes accompany a distinct floral (violets?) edge. A tad rustic, but a delight with meaty foods that can handle the load. - HK 2016-04-18
