This young-vine San Lorenzo has a nicely perfumed nose redolent of black fruits, kirsch, spicy oak, and anise. In the mouth the wine is relatively tart, youthful, and without the density, mouth-coating texture, and breadth of the top old-vine Seghesio Zins. Still, a delicious, well-priced Zinfandel that has a lot of life in it. - HK 2013-09-19
