| 1996 Sineann Cabernet Sauvignon Block One Vineyard Columbia Valley, Oregon WB Rating: 87 Alcohol by volume: 14.5% Price at time of purchase: $ (Current release) Type: Cabernet / Bordeaux Principal varietal(s): 100% Cab? A fruitbomb Cab. Forward, extremely fruity nose and flavors of nuclear-density cassis and candied cherries. Also, elements of melted wax and pepper. Good midrange. Sweet in the mouth and with a Zinfandel-like feel to it, has no tannin in the finish. Ready to drink right now. After drinking through half the bottle, began to develop an almost gamay-like fruitiness that one taster found a tinge cloying. The first WineBoirk exposure to Oregon Cabernet; hopefully not the last since this was excellent wine. - WB Team 2000-07-25 [Back] |
