| 2007 Taft Street Rosé of Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast, California WB Rating: 88 Alcohol by volume: 12.5% Price at time of purchase: $16.00 (Winery) Type: Rosé Principal varietal(s): Pinot Noir This rose shows impressive levels of flavor, freshness, and character, not to mention being absolutely delicious. Enticing aromas of ripe cherry and strawberry along with a yeasty component similar to Champagne. In fact, the wine reminds me of an excellent, crisp, flavorful rosé Champagne from which the bubbles have been removed. Beautiful to look at in the glass, this wine is also an outstanding and versatile food wine. I'm sure it should be drunk young. - HK 2008-09-15 [Back] |
