Tasty Chardonnay, though to our tastes not quite as interesting as the Macon Bussieries Le Clos sampled the day before. Rich nose and flavors of smoky white fruits, wet straw, and brown butter. Full in the mouth with a clean and fairly long finish. Like the Le Clos, a terrific buy from my favorite producer of high-quality, low-priced Chardonnays. - HK 2002-04-14
