| 2010 Chateau Villars Fronsac, Bordeaux, France WB Rating: 90 Alcohol by volume: 14.5% Price at time of purchase: $16.99 (Premier Cru, Berkeley CA) Type: Cabernet / Bordeaux Principal varietal(s): Bordeaux blend Spectacular value. Very deeply colored, and unsually rich and full in the mouth for Bordeaux of this classification. Wonderful grip in the mouth with a good fruit/acid/tannin balance. Potent flavors suggest dark currents, plums, macerated cherries, roasted herbs. Truly reminded me of a rich Napa Cabernet or Merlot costing 4x as much. - HK 2021-12-05 [Back] |
