| 2007 Williams Selyem Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast Sonoma Coast, California WB Rating: 90 Alcohol by volume: 13.9% Price at time of purchase: $46.00 (winery) Type: Pinot Noir / Burgundy Principal varietal(s): Pinot Noir Utterly delicious "entry level" Pinot from Williams-Selyem. Silky smooth and elegant mouth feel, filled with ripe, classic Pinot fruit - black cherries, strawberries, spicy oak and charcoal notes. Long and seamless though at this point straight-ahead and not particularly layered or complex. Except for the fact I can't afford it, it's the type of delicious, untiring wine I could drink every night. - HK 2012-08-11 [Back] |
