Fortunately I have friends who toted one back for me from France. It was worth the journey. Where I expected a youthful, steely wine, I found instead a full-bodied, spicy, fruit-forward, and totally delicious and mature Chardonnay. Complex melange of aromas and flavors - stone fruits, crème caramel, amaretto, yeast, nutmeg. Tingling acidity keeps it energetic and engaging in the mouth.
