Tasted first about a year ago, this wine was quite unevolved - obviously rich and promising, but still muted. In this latest tasting, the wine was really starting to awaken. Much more obvious Riesling character than in the earlier tasting, with a beautifully complex nose that includes apricot, fermented pineapple, orange liqueur, exotic herbs and spices, sweet flowers, and an intense honeyed edge. Still youthful, definitely not a delicate German Riesling but an full-throttle, in-your-face Alsatian. It's only going to get better. - HK 2018-03-07
