Extremely respectable considering the price. Characteristic and surprisingly forward Bordeaux nose - dark currants, black coffee, chocolate, and wood/earth notes. Still fairly tannic in the mouth, and a touch thin in texture compared to what was promised in the aromas. But overall this is a very good bargain - a straight-ahead, nicely flavored and structured wine at a fraction the price of many a comparable Bordeaux or California Cab. - HK 2010-06-24
