I often find Bella wines too dry and austere, but when they hit the richness sweet spot they can be superb. This Syrah certainly is. Drinking magnificently at age 7. Mouth-coating flavors of blackberry and blueberry liqueur, vanilla, barbecue smoke, with a hint of floral perfume and oaky spice in the background. Seamless throughout, velvety textured but with solid tannic structure; beautifully balanced and pure. Rich, complex, but without heaviness. - HK 2014-08-10
