2007 Bella Zinfandel Lily Hill Dry Creek, Sonoma, California WB Rating: 90 Alcohol by volume: 15.0% Price at time of purchase: $36.00 (Winery) Type: Zinfandel Principal varietal(s): Zinfandel Opening this beautiful wine so young borders on infanticide, but even so this is my favorite Bella Zin to date. Despite the usual firmness and structure found in young Bella wines, this one provides plenty of deep, musky, earthy Zinfandel fruit that suggests a mix of cherry, plum, chocolate, and toast. Its ripeness gives it a mouth feel that is full and satisfying, and it will unquestionably soften and open over the next 1 - 4 years. - HK 2009-08-11 [Back] |
