This was a delicious, chunky, briary, Zin-like Cabernet when young, but has aged much better than the typical Zin. Still a healthy deep purple, but, not surprisingly, lacks some of the vitality of its youth and rates a few points lower as a result. Sweet curranty fruit with pronounced cedar and tobacco. A good Cab and hanging on beautifully, but still better a few years ago. - WB Team 2000-11-06
