1999 Cambria Vineyards Pinot Noir Julia's Vineyard Santa Maria Valley, California WB Rating: 88 Alcohol by volume: 13.6% Price at time of purchase: $16.00 (Costco) Type: Pinot Noir / Burgundy Principal varietal(s): Pinot Noir Nicely rounded Pinot Noir that has nose-caressing aromas of cherry, vanilla, roses, and Asian spice. Good ripeness and length in the mouth, with nice fruit extraction and a smooth, harmonious feel to it. When first tasted 6 or 8 months ago there was a touch of stemminess in the nose, but that seems to have completely evaporated. Good Pinot, good price. - HK 2002-10-26 [Back] |
