The first night I opened it I found it overly acidic and tannic with an odd medicinal edge to the fruit. It may have been the food it was served with or my taste buds were screwy. In any case, the next night it was more the usual Carlisle Zin, balanced, complex, loaded with dark cherry, boysenberry, and plum fruit with strong savory/earthy notes and hints of underbrush, lavender, and spiciness. - HK 2020-01-04 [Back] |
