It makes small-lot wines from various vineyard sources. This Syrah comes from an AVA in far south Monterey County, below King City, and with a climate more akin to Paso Robles than to cooler and more northerly regions like the Santa Lucia Highlands. Well made wine, deep purple in color, with some tasty deep blueberry/blackberry fruit and attractive notes of plum and spice. Smooth in the mouth and drinking well already.
