2001 Cinnabar Mercury Rising
WB Rating: 88

Alcohol by volume: 14.1%
Price at time of purchase: $15.00 ()
Type: Cabernet / Bordeaux
Principal varietal(s): Bordeaux blend

What a pleasant surprise this fairly-priced wine was. Excellent ripeness with a Merlot-like feel to it. Dark cherries, plums, raspberries, and spicy oak highlight the flavor profile. Soft, elegant feel in the mouth with good balance and a better-than-average finish. (Price estimated: available for $17.50 from winery, but undoubtedly discounted elsewhere.) - WB team 2003-10-04

[connie419  2004-07-11] Not only do I agree with the 88-point review, but I can also add that this wine is periodically available for half the price listed, in local shops. I bought it for $8 recently at a small Santa Cruz natural foods grocery chain store, on sale.  User Rating: 90.
