We purchased it inexpensively off a restaurant wine list, and were not prepared for the tasty, totally opaque, inky-black wine that showed up in the glass. The nose displayed dark plums and dark berries, bittersweet chocolate, and some spicy oak. Medium-bodied, well balanced, velvety mouth feel.
