2001 David Bruce Pinot Noir "Saignee" Sonoma County, California WB Rating: 85 Alcohol by volume: 14.5% Price at time of purchase: $16.00 (from winery.) Type: Rosé Principal varietal(s): Pinor Noir This limited-edition Pinot Noir Rose is a flavorful wine that would pair well with turkey at Thanksgiving. Bone dry, with attractive strawberry and sweet pear fruit in the nose and flavors, good length, and an appealing mineral-filled finish. The only down-side is the price -- call us old-fashioned, but $16 strikes us as a little steep for a straightforward if tasty rose. - WB team 2003-04-04 [Back] |
