Very promising nose of violets and red cherries. Healthy deep ruby color. But in the mouth, too light-bodied for me and with a typical (but to me not necessarily positive) nuance of bubblegum/soda pop. Fairly high acid and with a touch of a bitter note, the overall flavor profile did not live up to the nose. I've had so many excellent Duboeuf Beaujolais that I'm probably being too hard on this one - it's still a terrific buy at $6.99. - HK 2003-11-02
