Remarkably deep and flavorful for a "generic" Beaujolais. Selected and imported by North Berkeley Wine Imports, who have the highest standards for wines they handle. Deep red/purple color. Forward nose of raspberry and violets, pleasant medium-bodied mouth feel, slightly tart finish. The antithesis of the insipid, cloying "soda-pop" Beaujolais cliche.
