Solid Pinot - D-G is incapable of producing anything less - but in my opinion far from the silky, complex, deep, fruit-filled Pinot's that D-G normally produces. The '09 Devil's Gulch has earthy wild berry flavors touched with some slightly green-tasting stemmy elements. Rustic texture, somewhat angular and muddled at this point in its development. Nice wine, but wildly overpriced at $58 per bottle retail. I far prefer the "generic" D-G Dutton Ranch bottling at about $20 less per bottle. - HK 2014-09-10
