Rich Pinot that starts with a blast of bright raspberry fruit. With airing the wine deepens dramatically and a complex mix of blueberry and darker berry fruits emerge along with a musky bouquet of black cherry, violets, charcoal, and sweet spices. Rich, long, and extremely satisfying. Has the usual D-G magic: remarkable depth and intensity but no heaviness. - HK 2014-03-21
