| 2010 Edmeades Zinfandel Shamrock Vineyard Mendocino, California WB Rating: 86 Alcohol by volume: 16.0% Price at time of purchase: $31.00 (winery) Type: Zinfandel Principal varietal(s): Zinfandel This rustic, fruity, enjoyable Zin displays briary raspberry and blackberry fruit along with spicy oak and some serious alcohol. Despite the elevated alcohol, it's not really dominated by heat, but on the other hand it's not exactly elegant and refined either.
