Despite its high alcohol, it shares with other Howell Mountain Zins a somewhat Cab-like feel to it, "greener" in flavor than the typical Zin. This wine had a fairly rich mouth feel, and some spicy Zinfandel fruit. But overall it struck us as a bit short of the Zinfandel pizzaz that we purchase these wines for. - HK 2002-02-15 [Back] |
