2011 Hartford Pinot Noir Jennifer's Vineyard Russian River, Sonoma, California WB Rating: 90 Alcohol by volume: 14.5% Price at time of purchase: $65.00 (Winery) Type: Pinot Noir / Burgundy Principal varietal(s): Zinfandel Another remarkably good Pinot from a miserably cold year. Complex, forward nose of crushed black cherries and red raspberries, vanilla, an attractive musky, earthy edge, and an assertive resinous component. In the mouth more reticent, a little less interesting than in the aromas. But still round and velvety. Extremely pleasant Pinot, just not in the stratosphere like so many Hartford wines. - HK 2017-06-20 [Back] |
