Rich, almost chewy texture to this deeply colored Pinot Noir from a low-yield vineyard in the cool Sebastopol Hills area of the Russian River Valley. Classic Pinot flavors tighten a bit in the mid-range, but otherwise have a broad and savory profile, highlighted by dark berry, sweet herb, and slightly floral character. Like all Hartford wines, impeccably balanced and elegant, but lacks the extra grip and complexity of the best Hartford Pinot's. - HK 2016-04-26
