I've been uniformly impressed with how well the 2011 Hartford reds are showing. It was a very cool climate year, yet their 2011's seem uniformly ripe, complex, and full of flavor. The 2011 Fog Dance Pinot is no exception. Medium ruby in color, it exhibits a palate-tingling range of flavors from musky dark maraschino cherry to barbecue smoke to expresso coffee bean and sweet spices. Beautifully balanced, light on its feet yet commanding in its flavor and depth. It is a wine drinking beautifully in its sixth year, though not one I'd be inclined to hold past about age 9. - HK 2017-02-22
