I really liked the authoritative texture and mouth feel in this beautifully balanced Pinot made from a variety of Pinot clones (hence the name). Some distinctive earthy Syrah-like character in the berry and dark fruit flavors. Tannins are still developing, but the fruit-acid-tannin balance feels right-on even at age 4. Delicious already, but I think this has a longer life ahead of it than the also delicious 2011. - HK 2016-05-31
