2007 Huntington Chardonnay Stuhlmuller Vineyard Alexander Valley, Sonoma, California WB Rating: 84 Alcohol by volume: 14.4% Price at time of purchase: $20.00 (Winery) Type: Chardonnay Principal varietal(s): Huntington, one of the wine labels under the Hahn umbrella, markets a huge number of wines from all over California. This Chardonnay, from an excellent Alexander Valley vineyard, has a slightly green nose with peach and pear fruit, a pleasantly crisp texture, and enough depth to keep it interesting. Overall, this a straight-ahead Chardonnay that is a step above the generic Chards that flood the market, but it's not nearly as good as the Chardonnays made by Stuhlmuller Vineyards itself.
