2003 J. and F. Hermanos Lurton Rueda Blanco Rioja, Spain WB Rating: 86 Alcohol by volume: 13.0% Price at time of purchase: $8.99 (K&L) Type: Spanish White Principal varietal(s): Mainly Verdejo Another in a string of inexpensive Spanish whites I've tried recently that really have some character and flavor. This wine has a resemblance to a good Sauvignon Blanc, though with more of a peach edge in the flavors. Surprisingly full-bodied and ripe, yet balanced with fresh acidity that makes it an outstanding wine to have with seafood. - HK 2005-10-25 [Back] |

[cbishop66 2005-12-19] It is not often that I will drink white wines but I will definitely keep a couple bottles of Ruedo Blanco on hand in case I do get the urge. This wine is one of the best whites I have ever had. A GREAT value for the money. Buy it and try it! User Rating: 87. |
