| 2011 Kendall-Jackson Riesling Vintner's Reserve California WB Rating: 85 Alcohol by volume: 13.5% Price at time of purchase: $13.00 (from winery) Type: Riesling Principal varietal(s): Riesling Very pleasant sipping wine, even if it lacks the crystal purity and crispness of the best dry German Rieslings (which of course cost 2 - 4 times as much). Nice honeyed fruit flavors - apricot, orange, and tropical primarily, with a touch of spice. Light intensity, off-dry, just slightly heavy in body, but with enough acidity to keep it from being awkward. Fairly priced for the quality, like all K-J wines.
