This is a superlative Shiraz, with mouth-coating richness and a silky, sexy, voluptuous feel. The wine has a monster amount of spicy oak, but the fruit and acid seem up to the task of balancing it out. Lovely depth of blueberry and blackberry fruit, almost syrup-like in density and yet amazingly graceful at the same time. I have no idea how well this will age, but who cares? This is dynamite, and at a preposterously good price from one of my favorite wine sources, K&L. - HK 2003-11-03

[Hazelmn  2004-01-03] Great balance of spice and oak. Full bodied, this wine has many competing flavors but none dominate. I think it is around a 90, but if you were to adjust for value, it would be a 99. This is a $45 wine being sold for $15, in my opinion.  User Rating: 90.
