2015 Domaine Lafage Cuvée Centenaire Cotes du Roussillon, France WB Rating: 89 Alcohol by volume: 13.5% Price at time of purchase: $16.99 (K&L) Type: Rhone-style White Principal varietal(s): Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris, Roussanne Top-notch white from Lafage, whose quality seems uniformly excellent and whose prices remain totally reasonable. The 2015 struck me as the richest Centenaire I've tried to date, and is fully drinkable already. Pure, rich flavors of stone fruits, sweet citrus, wet stones. Bracing acidity keeps this wine fresh. It can be drunk cold, when it almost reminds me of Chardonnay, but as it warms slightly a honeyed richness evolves. Great food wine. - HK 2017-03-21 [Back] |
