| 2009 Landmark Chardonnay "Overlook" Sonoma County, California WB Rating: 89 Alcohol by volume: 14.5% Price at time of purchase: $22.96 (Joe Canal's Lawrenceville NJ) Type: Chardonnay Principal varietal(s): Chardonnay A first for this wine, I think - all the fruit is from Sonoma County. The flavor profile is a little less tropical than in past vintages, but it remains absolutely delicious. Ripe pear and orange-citrus fruit along with notes of vanilla and cinnamon/nutmeg spice, full yet pure and fresh in the mouth and finish. Superior to the 2008 vintage, to my taste.
