The 2013 Damaris Reserve originates from the Sangiacomo and Rodger's Creek Vineyards in the cold-climate Petaluma Gap/Carneros region, east of 101 between Sonoma and Petaluma. Similar to the excellent 2012, but perhaps a little crisper and leaner at this early stage. Attractive sense of purity and transparency in this wine. Pristine clean mouth feel, with aromas and flavors leaning towards lime, lemon curd, slate, cinnamon. Refreshing weight, beautifully balanced, utterly untiring to drink. Fairly priced for the quality. - HK 2015-03-21
