Youthful, deep, opaque red-purple color. Bordeaux-like nose with notes of cassis, blackberry, violets, and even a bit of the famous lead pencil. Rich and full in the mouth and still youthfully structured, totally drinkable at age 5 but with the balance to go another decade or more. Good length and sense of harmony. - HK 2010-08-23
