1990 Moet et Chandon Dom Perignon Champagne, France WB Rating: 92 Alcohol by volume: 12.5% Price at time of purchase: $0.00 (Library Wine) Type: Champagne / Sparkling Principal varietal(s): I believe it was in reference to the '95 Veuve Cliquot Grande Dame that I indicated that my brother in law and wife, Bob and Andrea, are two of the finest individuals on this or any other planet. Well, here is more evidence, in their gift to my wife and me of this magnificent sparkling wine. The '90 Dom Perignon is the essence of elegance and refinement, with glorious light gold color, tiny persistent bubbles, silky mouth feel, subtle complex flavors of citrus oil, buttered toast, and green apples. Exceptionally clean and pure wine that will probably last another 30 years. It was completely youthful in this tasting. To taste wines like these once in a while is to affirm your worth as a human being! - HK 2006-02-18 [Back] |
