Absolutely delicious Chateauneuf-du-Pape, ready to drink now, and a "bargain-of-all-time" at $15. (Of course it's long sold out now.) Has the velvety mouth feel and expansive nose of a top tier Pinot Noir -- deep dark cherry, vanilla, earth, spice, and rose petals -- but with an extra oomph of black pepper. The only thing keeping this wine from a 90+ score was that its finish, while good, did not quite live up to the aromas and flavor. - WB Team 2001-05-23
