| 2011 Novy Cellars Zinfandel Papera Vineyard Russian River, Sonoma, CA WB Rating: 88 Alcohol by volume: 14.7% Price at time of purchase: $20.00 (from Winery) Type: Zinfandel Principal varietal(s): Zinfandel Tasty Zin with lively Russian River fruit, though without the depth of the beefy Papera Zins that Deloach used to produce from this vineyard. I'm sure that's largely due to the cold 2011 vintage that resulted in Zins of lower intensity in general. The 2011 Papera has very attractive, classic Russian River Zin aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, cranberry, and vanilla. In the mouth, full-flavored but slightly tart.
