| 2002 Old World Winery Pinot Noir Powerhouse Vineyard Potter Valley, Medocino County, California WB Rating: 88 Alcohol by volume: 14.0% Price at time of purchase: $0.00 (from Winery) Type: Pinot Noir / Burgundy Principal varietal(s): Pinot Noir Medium deep ruby color. Lovely nose displays ripe plums and sweet raspberries. Needs a year or so to soften and open up: at present this wine is still somewhat unevolved and tannic in the mouth. It was probably unfair to taste it against the delicious, silky Old World 2001 Windsor Gardens Pinot Noir, one of our favorites.
