2000 Pedroncelli Zinfandel Mother Clone Dry Creek, Sonoma, California WB Rating: 80 Alcohol by volume: 14.4% Price at time of purchase: $11.99 (Beverages and More) Type: Zinfandel Principal varietal(s): Zinfandel Though fairly priced, we were a little disappointed in this wine, having had some good bargains from Pedroncelli in the past. This wine was characterized by soft, sour cherry fruit and balanced oak, a somewhat sharp mouth feel, and some tannin in the finish. Like so many inexpensive Zinfandels, this wine lacks the fullness and vivacity that makes us love the good ones. - WB team 2003-04-30 [Back] |
