Excellent Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay that has a lot in common with some Ridge Chardonnays we've had in the past. Big, oaky, buttery, toasty nose with notes of roasted nuts. But has enough fruit (spiced apples with a touch of the tropical) to handle the oak. Refreshingly high acidity keeps the wine vibrant even at this "advanced" age. Good buy on sale at $20.
