Per our tasting notes, quite similar to the '98. Healthy purple color, with an elegant and restrained rather than powerful feel. Good fruit purity and fruit/oak/acid balance. Not quite extracted or long enough to match up to some other gangbuster Zins tasted at the same time, but this wine held its own. It's fairly priced, too. - WB Team 2002-09-03
