The least expensive of the "upper level" Ridge Zins, this is yet another beautifully balanced, tasty wine. Possessing youthful firmness and the usual Ridge balance, this wine has excellent black raspberry and sweet oak aromas that carry through from start to finish. Still some tannin that will melt away in the next year. Not as layered or complex as some of the other Ridge Zins, but another winner. - HK 2002-05-02
