Perhaps we were in a grumpy mood, but this Zin, always one of our favorites, came across as just too tightly structured, light and polite in this tasting. Nice nose and flavors of dark cherry, strawberry, plum, with an earthy edge. Fairly elegant feel to it, but just not enough of the oomph we find in our favorite Zins. Maybe it'll crack open later and we'll give it another shot. - WB Team 2005-10-23
