Tasted with the St. Francis 1997 Old Vines Zinfandel, and by comparison a much "smaller" wine. But it is still another delicious Ridge offering. Taste impression of plum jelly, with some berry tinges. Slight dusty tannin level, a little tart in the finish. Probably more comlexity than the St. Francis, but truly lost in the power and oak of that wine. - WB Team 2000-04-19
