Outstanding Zin from the Napa mountains. All Rosenblum Zins seem to be rich and delicious, but what sets some of his premium ones apart is their underlying firm and muscular structure -- the old "iron fist in the velvet glove" model fits here. This is not a simple, sweet-feeling, straight-ahead Zin. It has layers of dark berry, vanilla, chocolate, black pepper, and spicy oak in abundance. It's delicious now and is probably set to improve over the next year or two. To quote the legenday sage Pat Van Munn (I have to show some respect: he provided the wine) -- "Life is good when you're drinking expensive Rosenblum Zins!" - WB Team 2004-11-05
