2002 Rosenblum Zinfandel Rockpile Road Vineyard Dry Creek, Sonoma, California WB Rating: 90 Alcohol by volume: 14.9% Price at time of purchase: $26.00 (from winery) Type: Zinfandel Principal varietal(s): 100% Zinfandel This Dry Creek Zin was tasted next to the Ridge 2002 Lytton Springs, and it was an interesting comparison. The wines were hard to separate in quality, but the Rosenblum was predictably much more open at this point, with rich, earthy dark berry and licorice flavors, lots of tasty oak, and a ripe fruit finish. Always one of our favorite Zins. - WB team 2004-03-20 [Back] |
