Struck us as a much more interesting, deep, and complex wine than the '98 Yates Ranch. Completely ready to drink, this wine has rich, soft, succulent fruit flavors of blackberry, dark cherry, jammy dark currants, and vanilla. A slight lack of grip cost it a point or two, but this is one delicious wine. - WB team 2003-05-09
